Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy Program, held at the FBI Academy, offers 10 weeks of advanced leadership, management and fitness training for selected officers having proven records as professionals within their agencies. Training for the program is provided by FBI Academy instructional staff, Special Agents, and other staff members holding advanced degrees, many of whom are recognized internationally in their fields of expertise. Chief Lumpkin's studies included Crime Analysis, Futuristics and Law Enforcement: The 21st Century, Managing Organizational Change and Development, Seminar in Organizational Communications for Law Enforcement Executives, Overview of Forensic Science for Police Administrators and Managers, Legal Issues for Command-Level Officers, and Fitness in Law Enforcement. Additionally, special meetings included an ADL-FBI Counter Terrorism Conference as well as a Risk Management Workshop. |
