Officers Participate in Community Day

Several officers from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department participated in a recent Community Day at the Rocksprings Community Center on Columbus Avenue.

The officers had coloring books, police stickers and balloons for the children, and Summer Safety Tips and Teen Issues for older children. Job applications and information pamphlets on a number of topics were also available. The children also enjoyed face-painting by one of the officers (pictured above).

Officers spoke to the participants about community relations and their interest in working with them to improve their community.
