On Christmas Eve, Athens-Clarke County officers delivered 49 gift baskets to senior adults in our community who are shut-in.
Members of the School Safety Patrols from Prince Avenue Christian School, St. Joseph Catholic School, Whit Davis Elementary, Whitehead Road Elementary, and Winterville Elementary collected items for the baskets. These items included soap, lotion, toothpaste and brushes, paper and pens/pencils, hats, gloves, and scarves. Each basket also had some fruit and candy.
