The Police Department announces the sworn and civilian
employees for April-May - June 2003.
Senior Police Officer Todd Pulliam was the Sworn Employee
of the Quarter. SPO Pulliam was chosen for his attention to duty and
professionalism, which led to the arrest of eight individuals and the
recovery of two stolen vehicles during this three-month period. On May
6 he stopped a suspicious vehicle with three occupants on Old Hull Rd.
Stolen property was recovered inside and information received on the
location of a stolen Vehicle. On June 18, along with other officers,
he responded to a suspicious persons/vehicle call on Hwy 29 N. He searched
and located three males on the ground behind a boat. Two other suspects
were later located and arrested. Two vehicles had been entered and a
stolen vehicle recovered at that location. He can be counted on to be
proactive and not reactive as he patrols his assigned zone. Civilian Employee of the Quarter was Property Technician
Rhonda Westmoreland. She was chosen for her attention to detail and
interpersonal skills that allow her to perform her duties in an exemplary
fashion. Her knowledge and experience allows for efficient and effective
daily operation of the Department's property needs. She has good working
relations with outside vendors as well as the Finance Department. Her
everyday performance is an excellent example for all to follow in their
approach to their own job responsibilities. |
