of the Quarter, First Quarter of 2001
Athens, 25 June 2001 -- Officer Kevin Hooks was selected Sworn Employee of the Quarter for January-February-March 2001. While on patrol, Officer Hooks saw a vehicle that matched a description issued from a North Carolina agency. The occupant was wanted for a homicide in Greensboro. Officer Hooks made contact with the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The civilian Employee of the Quarter was Property Technician Rhonda Westmoreland. Ms. Westmoreland was selected for her always-present "can do" attitude. Each task assigned to her is handled with ease and professionalism. Her organizational and financial skills are an asset to the department. Her treatment of internal customers makes each feel special. Chief Joseph H. Lumpkin, Sr., presented each with a plaque and expressed appreciation for their dedication and hard work. |
