
CRIME STOPPERS REWARD OFFERED
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information
on the person/persons responsible for the following armed robberies/robberies/attempted
robberies which occurred in the western portion of Athens-Clarke County:
July 14 2100 block W Broad St victim was walking on W
Broad when he was approached by three black males who demanded money.
He fled on foot and was able to elude the suspects. Two were described
as 16 to 18 years of age 140 pounds. One was 511 to 6,
wearing a long, white shirt and jeans. The second suspect was 56,
wearing a dark shirt. No description was given of the third male. (07-1064)
July 22 200 block Hawthorne Ave victim reported that while
he was sleeping on a path in the woods, he was accosted by two black
males who beat and pistol whipped him; $1 was stolen. Suspect #1
56 to 57, 150 to 170 pounds, with a big, round
face. Suspect #2 56 to 57 (07-1664)
July 22 2200 block W Broad St victim reported he was waking
home and was accosted by two black males, one of whom was armed with
a pistol; $7 was stolen. Suspect #1 18 to 23 years of age, 59
to 6, 150 to 160 pounds, metal grill. Suspect #2 18 to
23 years of age, 56 to 59, 160 to 170 pounds.

July 23 100 block Alps Rd as victim walked to his vehicle
he was approached by two black males, one of whom may have been armed
with a gun. They demanded money but the victim was able to enter his
vehicle without incident. Suspects were in their late teens. One was
6, 135 to 140 pounds, wearing a black T-shirt and green pants.
The second suspect was 58 to 510, wearing a
white T-shirt and blue jeans.

August 7 victim was walking on Magnolia St. Near Magnolia Ter
a black male snatched her purse. He was approximately 30 years of age,
6, skinny. (08-0612)
August 7 an employee of the Golden Pantry, 1880 W Broad St, said
a black male robbed the business; although he did not present a weapon,
he made the employee believe he was armed. He was described as 510
to 6, thin build. (08-0643)
August 16 an employee of Bojangles, 3993 Atlanta Hwy, opened
the door for a black male she thought was a new employee. He robbed
the business and took the employees purse. No further description
was given of the suspect. (08-1339)
